Your source for enrollment information

Open Enrollment is:

November 1–15, 2023

For benefits effective January 1 to December 31, 2024

Hertz is changing the plan year for all benefit programs to the calendar year (January 1 to December 31) to better manage annual deductibles, annual plan benefit limits and align with IRS rules for FSA and HSA contributions. Going forward, benefits enrollment will occur each year in the fall. Review the presentation from the Benefits Team.

Learn more about what’s changing here.

Medical Plans: All three medical plan options will remain unchanged in 2024 with no change in per-paycheck costs.

Dental and Vision Plans: There are no changes to our dental or vision plans for 2024. There will be a slight increase in the cost of vision coverage.

Flexible Spending Account and Health Savings Account (HSA) Elections: These accounts must be enrolled in each year per IRS regulations. This includes your health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts. The FSA and HSA elections you made in May will not carry over into 2024.

Wellness Reward Program: If you are currently receiving the wellness reward premium credit, you will continue to receive the premium credit throughout 2024. In order to continue to receive the credit for calendar year 2025, an adult annual physical will need to be completed between January 1 and December 31, 2024. Please visit the Wellness Program page for more details.

You don’t have to enroll to keep your current coverage, but there are some exceptions. You must log in and actively enroll to:

  • Change your current benefit elections
  • Add or drop covered dependents
  • Enroll in or continue participating in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) (the IRS requires a new election each year)
  • Begin saving or change your Health Savings Account (HSA) contributions (the HSA is only available if you enroll in the CDHP medical plan)

If you take no action, your current benefit elections will continue at the new 2024 rates, except for HSA and FSA participation.
