Deductibles

Important Note: Copays for office visits and prescription drugs do not count toward your medical plan deductible.

PPO & Copay Plans

For the PPO and Copay plans, the deductible is embedded: this means that if one family member meets the individual deductible, coinsurance will apply for that person. Expenses for all covered family members add up to meet the family deductible. After that amount is met, coinsurance applies for the whole family.

CDHP with HSA Plan

The CDHP with HSA plan has a true family deductible: this means that the full family deductible must be met before you and the plan share costs for services (known as coinsurance) for any individual family member.
