Hertz Benefits 5 Guide 5 Health & Wellness 5 Supplemental Coverage for Medical Expenses

Administered by The Hartford, these voluntary benefits are a great way to supplement your medical insurance. Coverage can be selected during enrollment and paid for with payroll deductions.

Accident Insurance

Accident Insurance is not meant to be a stand-alone medical plan, but instead provides extra dollars to help pay out-of-pocket expenses for covered injuries and accidents — occurring on or off the job.

Coverage is available for individuals and families. No health questions or physical exams are required.

Coverage & Benefits

The Accident Insurance plan pays specified dollar amounts to help pay for a wide variety of injury and accidents expenses, including:

  • Hospitalization
  • Doctor’s office visits
  • Physical therapy
  • Emergency room
  • Lodging for family

The Accident Insurance plan will give you $50 when you receive a preventative Health Screening or certain diagnostic tests.

Benefits are paid directly to you, unless otherwise assigned, and are in addition to other coverage you may have. Use the money any way you wish.

Critical Illness Insurance

Critical Illness Insurance helps with out-of-pocket expenses for covered illnesses, like a heart attack or cancer. If you experience a covered critical illness, the plan pays a lump-sum benefit on initial diagnosis.

  • Critical Illness benefits are paid directly to you, unless otherwise assigned, as a lump sum based on diagnosis or event.
