New Programs for 2025

For 2025, we are excited to announce several new vendor partnerships to our benefit offering. For more information about these benefits, visit this link: Medical Wellbeing Programs.

When dealing with healthcare and benefits, it can be hard to know where to start. Quantum Health Care Coordinators will be your guides to navigate the health care system. Care Coordinators can help you:

  • Get answers to claims, billing and benefits questions
  • Find in-network providers
  • Verify coverage and get prior approval if needed
  • Contact providers to coordinate your treatment
  • Review your care options
  • Replace ID cards
  • Enroll in the tobacco cessation program

When you need non-emergency surgery, understanding your options, finding a quality provider, setting up your appointment and coordinating post-care rehab can be a difficult process.

Hertz is pleased to offer surgery support through Carrum Health for those enrolled in a Hertz medical plan.

Carrum Health works with highly-rated centers of excellence (COE) around the country to offer members best-in-class surgery support from the time you need to schedule your surgery to your rehab.

Utilizing Carrum is required if you are seeking bariatric surgery services (previously administered through Optum).

SWORD Health’s virtual program specializes in prevention and management of chronic back, joint, and muscle pain. Hertz medical plan members are eligible to participate at no cost.

As part of the program, you will be assigned a designated physical therapist that will tailor a program specific to your needs, allowing for high-quality, engaging, and personalized treatment that aims to help avoid surgery and drastically reduce healthcare costs.

Hertz is pleased to roll out our new partnership with WINFertility to help support both fertility and maternity services. Regardless of your needs, Hertz wants to support you and your family.

Throughout your journey with WINFertility, your nurse advocate will offer specialized care and assist in answering any questions you may have around various services and treatments.

As part of our goal to help streamline and enhance our benefits offering, we are transitioning our diabetes management program from Omada to Teladoc.

Through Teladoc, eligible members will continue to have access to diabetes management services along with personalized tips and expert coaching.

Coverage Changes & Reminders

PPO Medical Plan Deductible Increasing

PPO medical plan participants will see an increase in the deductible, which is the amount you pay for medical care before the plan kicks in.

To help offset this increase, consider increasing your flexible spending account (FSA) contributions. As a reminder, visiting in-network providers and appropriate site of care can help you save money.

If you need additional information on our medical plans, be sure to give Quantum a call and speak with a care coordinator.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)

If you wish to participate in the health care or dependent care flexible spending account (FSA), you must enroll or elect contributions during Open Enrollment.

  • The health care flexible spending account (HCFSA) maximum contribution limit will likely increase from $3,200.*
  • The dependent care flexible spending account (DCFSA) limit continues to be $5,000 individually or $2,500 if married and filing separately.

*$3,200 is the contribution limit for 2024. The contribution limit for 2025 will not be finalized until it is officially released by the IRS.

Health Savings Account (HSA)

The CDHP will be the only Hertz medical plan that works with a health savings account (HSA).

If you currently have a HSA and switch to either the PPO plan or Copay plan, you will not be able to continue your HSA contributions. However, you will still be able to access and use the money that is in your account for eligible expenses.

The HSA maximum contribution limits are increasing to $4,300 for employee-only and to $8,550 for all other coverage, plus a $1,000 annual catch up contribution for those over age 55. All maximums include Hertz contributions.

Wellness Reward

Hertz is rolling out a new wellness rewards incentive program for those enrolled in a UMR medical plan in 2025.

You, and, if applicable, your enrolled spouse or domestic partner, must complete a preventive screening and health risk assessment through Quantum Health to earn the $600 per participant annual wellness incentive for 2025.*

*The ability to earn rewards through our wellness program is available to all employees. If you or a dependent think you might be unable to meet a standard for the reward under this wellness program, you might qualify for an opportunity to earn the same reward by different means. Contact HR and we will work with you to develop another way to qualify for the reward.

Dependent Verification Due By Nov. 27

If you are adding or changing dependent coverage and/or have a disabled child over the age of 26, be prepared to upload documentation verifying that your dependent is eligible for the plan. Dependent verification documents must be uploaded no later than Nov. 27, 2024, for coverage to be effective Jan. 1, 2025.
